Kiyohime Maple

This is my Kiyohime Maple.

When I bought this tree it’s trunk was only pencil thin.

So the tree has unrestricted growth for the past mmmmmm maybe 8 to 10 years.

So now i’m happy with the trunk and overall size of the tree.

Now the root ball has been cut back by about 60% to 70%

This is the tree now ready for it’s new pot, I will post a few photes of the tree potted up shortly,,,,my camera ran out of battery Grrrrr.

Nice broom style tree in the making? What colour are the leaves?

The leaves are mostly green over the summer, a little colour at the end of the year, but it’s the small leaf size that makes Kiyohime intresting. Peter always has a few, when he is next over, have a look Ben.
